Me and my son Shane were done friday morn at 7am on the Fraser. Had our limit, again, and was running back up river when all of a sudden I see a tail sticking out of the water, NET!
Too late, that net was full of sockeyes and the boat stopped NOW! (jet pump) but I didn't.
I got home last night from the Chillawack hospital. I broke my collar bone and fractured my T-1 vertebrea.
Thank God Shane was down infront on the floor. He only got bruised by a flying anchor.
I'd like to openly thank our neighbor fishermen up north who came to our rescue, as I could not do a thing.

I hit a net last year on the Green. It was strung in front of a public launch at night with no marker light. It stopped us like we hit a wall. Fortunately, I was not going very fast and my motor was in the tilted up position. So, the only damage was to the net.
