I took my friend, Sok Keo, cutthroat fishing on Lake Washington this morning. Not bad, huh! This big boy measured 29.25" fork length and 20.25 girth. Should weigh around 14.99 Lbs. Cigar

bbvd, i believe a trip to wdfw with that fish would only get you a big fat ticket, correct me where i'm wrong but i see a adipose fin and a ventral fin, unless the other ventral fin is missing that is a wild cutthroat and is illegally to keep, and by looking at the the way its being held can only hope it was released unharmed? again correct me if i'm wrong?

If that's truly a state record fish, can't you show a picture to the authorities and get notorized sworn statements by Sok and Cigar on the measurements?
Does the state take that as "proof" for a new state record? They should. You should seriously look in to that Cigar.
Knowing Sok, he probably canned that damn beast. Too bad. Cigar, you should have confiscated the fish from him and had it mounted. That's a truly a fish of a lifetime.
Nice fish Cigar (oh yeah, and you too Sok).

Kelly - You're looking at the definition portion of the regulations. If in the special regulations portion of the regs says a body of water has a wild cutthroat release, then you refer to the definition to see what "wild cutthroat release" means. Lake Washington does not have a wild cutthroat release special regulation.

Downriggin, Ok, here's the scoop. We trolled out in the middle of the lake just north of Sand Point with Coyote spoons at 65' on the rigger. Speed 2.5 mph plus. The rest is history Cigar

You're right Parker, a second look is in order. That is just a BEAUTIFUL fish! Way to go Cigar, thanks for showing that fish.
Sure would be fun to take the 2 pics here to a taxidermist and have them turned into a worthy reproduction mount. Man, nice fish...
