The egg season is almost upon us! I was reading in STS that a good egg angler should have two types of cured eggs when out on the water. I use Amerman's cure almost exclusivily but I'm willing to try another. What is your favorite commerically available cure?

I would like to include the 'Ultimate Egg Cure' in this poll but I have yet to see it offered commerically. Let's hope it comes out soon.

For small batches, I like the cure I have listed in the tips area. When doing mass production eggs in the peak of season ... I prefer pro-glow. Brighter red than pro-cure, doesn't stain everything in sight permanently, and eggs milk well ... also, perhaps the easiest to do w/o fear of egg damage.

I was a Procure Redd Hot Double stuff fan until they had the fire at the factory last fall. I looked for other alternatives and really like the Ammermans now. I am only one of a number of converts. Texture is great, they hold together, and I am catching fish even better than some experts. ;\) \:D

Don't believe everything you read. The guides I know and have fished with only bring one type of cured eggs when they head out. The are targeted towards the fish they are after. Thats all I have ever done and I don't feel it has slowed my catch compared to others on the water. I think having confidence in your eggs you are using and fishing hard will prevail.

Amerman Egg Cure is the only way to go. My boat landed 89 Spring Chinook this last Spring on Amerman eggs and outfished every cure that I tryed. It's nice to have confidence in your eggs.
