Has anyone heard if they are going to extend the season yet. I thought I read somewhere they were going to make a decision today.

Well troller, so far that's only the buzz word. With the successful nettings the tribe has had,(3500 the first shot and 6300 the second) as oppossed to what the sports fishers caught, you'd think they would. And note that the boats on the troll were actually getting most of the tally. Sundays closure went out with a bang with what I've seen, its been the best out of majority of the openings. Just too bad that they opened too early and should have done two weekend openers in late July and the rest in August. And yes, I am a hardcore moocher so numbers on boating fish has been kinda weak, except for the last couple of openings. If they don't plan an opening, the areas between Dolphin to Brace on down south, Des Moines to Robinson are doing well with a 40 and a couple of 30's, not to mention the smaller fishes below that too. All we could do is hope.......

Checker at Armeni Launch on Sat. said they'd meet today. Prob won't hear of anything until Wed/Thurs. Same thing happened when speculation went out that they'd extend the Sockeye on Lk. WA. Took a day or two to list the news. Ahh, the government, ain't it slow?!

I fully do not expect them to extend the season due to Muckleshoot Tribe having too much success in netting. Armeni checker said also last Sat that 10k fish were harvested by the tribe and < 1k fish for the sportfishers. Sucks doesn't it!

I'll be pleasantly surprised if King season is extended.

P.S. I've heard guys going up to Westpoint keeping Chinooks, then coming back into the bay and claiming to have gotten them in front of Todds. Talk about cheap shots, and enforcement officials were busting people fishing to close or over Bracepoint. Go figure.
