Fishing is really slow so your best bet it to go to the cowlitz river for steelhead action thats all though. Hope I helped

I'd have to agree with Auntym. We were down the beginning of last week, hit several fish every day, while all around us were moaning about how slow it was. I have talked to several folks this week who are hitting fish every day. I think the key is getting deeper than what worked last year - 14 to 30 pulls on a delta diver. We did better in the evening than in the morning - the evening high slack was good for at least four fish on, three days in a row. On one of the tides, we hit seven for three rods, all inside of half an hour. Then we went home and had a cold one.

Time is on our side, here. The fish are already present, and the cooler weather is going to keep them coming in.

Thanks for the up date folks I appricaite it. Now I have a tuff call to make. We went out on the sound last night and landed four nice kings 9, 13, 14, and 18 lbs not bad for 3 hours. The question is was it a fluke or are the fish finally showing. I guess we will keep an Eye on things.

Hate to propogate a rumor here, but Bill Monroe posted on ifish that they are thinking about changing the Buoy 10 limit to 1 fish per person. Something about slowing down the catch rate???? Just something to consider if it goes into effect on Fri or Sat.

Fished Buoy 10 (Actually the bridge hole) Thursday thru Sunday. We had over 40 takedowns and put 22 chinook in the boat over those 4 days!!! Thursday was one of the hottest bites I've ever experienced down there. 15 takedowns and 8 fish in the boat in less than 2 hours. Friday was also very good with Saturday and Sunday slowing down a bit, but still good for limits if you really worked for them. I heard a number of board members on channel 68 and it was nice to chat with some of you. I'm not going to get to go back this year, but also heard the rumor of the 1 fish limit. Feel free to email me for details on successful tactics. It does take some skill along with alot of luck down there!!!
Also, make sure your parking brake works if you get out of your truck on the chinook launch to put in your boat eek eek eek The boat launch turned into a boat, trailer, and truck launch on Sunday!!!!

Nice trip Canyon Man. I too heard that last Thursday was the best bite yet.

I just want to correct my rumor and say that the official word staring Sat. the 24th is 2 fish limit only one of which may be a Chinook. The other needs to be a fin-clipped coho. (or you can get 2 clipped coho).

Let's hope the Silvers decide to come in soon...

We fished 4 days in a row last week in F-5. We hit fish every day, put 5 in the boat 18#-27#, and lost several, with many take-downs each day. If you use the right combo you'll get fish, especially up by the bridge. laugh
