Me and Shane went at 5am this morning. Last day. WOW! eek

I'm feeling better. Good enough to fish today! smile
LOADS of fish! WE lost over 28, boated 8, and brought home 4! eek

Shane lost 15 and boated 5. Don't do the math!
He kicked my butt again!!! mad Little boogger. laugh For a 10yo he's getting pretty good.

We did hook one under the head. frown We released it, then hit our knees and begged the "FISH GOD" to forgive us. I'll probably burn in HELL for that. frown

The launch was like a ghost town! It was great! Not alot of people on the river today.
Some nice Kings showing up. Vedder should turn on in a couple of weeks!

We figured out what happened with the net. The net was so full of fish it was floating. There was a strong back swirl and some of the mono was on the surface above the top line and the pump sucked it in, even up on step and wide open. My friends said they had to cut alot of mono out of the pump.
Freak accident. Oh well.

Who said fishing is a "SAFE" sport anyway.

Combat Fishing anyone? laugh

I believe I do know him. He lives off the Mecklem Rd. just outside of Everson about 3 miles. I've been to his house several times, can't remember his name, but he does make some nice rods. laugh

Yoadrian, have you been watching the river. Looking nice! laugh
Heard there were some nice kings in and some silvers showing up.
Remember, it's not open to salmon retention until sept 1, but it is open to sea run cutts and steelhead. laugh
Try Hovander bar. Me and my son, Shane, are going this weekend sometime.

The nooksack sure does look low but it is great color. You sure don't see it looking this good very often. I expect that the first rain will start to bring in alot of fish up the nooksack.

I'll be heading to Sandy Point and the Arco docks to try to hook some of the silvers that are showing out there. I like to find them feeding on the top and cast for them with a light spinning rod. What a blast that is. It's like Hunting.

G-MAN I haven't much about the nooksacks summer run steelhead. Does it have a good run? Drift eggs to get them?
