I admit to only going out three times so far this fishing season. And I have asked for advice as to what gear and strategy works best for a non-downrigged boat for now.
I plan to take some friends/family out after September 15th for coho in the North-end, and possibly Kings near the Tulalip bubble.
Easy Limits, I see your handle and advice quite often here. You have proven set-ups.

I think I asked this before, but I will print a hardcopy this time.

What do you recommend for us northerners (Possession Pt. and North). I am perusing the Salmon University website and, scouring Mike's brains at Ted's for info also.

THanks for the help.

I grew up fishing at Pt-No-Pt,we lived a few houses from the lighthouse. All we ever use for silvers is a 1/2 to 2oz lead with a mooching leader, cut plug herring trolled at mach 1. laugh We used to catch lots of silvers near the point while mooching, but with the kings out there we just troll for silvers now. It's easier than releasing a 25lb king.

Head down past norwegian point into skunk bay...nice name for a fishing spot huh! Troll along the shoreline in 15-50ft of water, staying near the kelp beds. We started fishing there last year Aug 1st and caught loads of fish until it closed. This year the fish just ain't there,4 trips so-far with just a few small resident fish.I hope it picks up soon!
