Went down to the Hoh yesterday with my seven weight to catch a steelie and on my third csast I nailed this brute. Not a very pretty Hen but big and strong.

I'll say NOT VERY PRETTY! Must have been a real kick on a fly rod.

Dam Rich, your really gettin' into the bug rod! Looks like fun.

Any other hookups that day? Overall, how's fishing been up there?

no other hookups for me but the guy I was with got a few incidental dollys.

Only fished one hole, only had about an hour to fish that day, had to go to work.

Water is low and not many new fish around.

It must be really hard to cast a plug on the fly rod. It looks like a plug in the mouth (maybe a big pink fly?) & you said the 3rd cast. I can see fly line in the back ground. Unless you just strip out some line & let her down. Are you pulling our leg? Heh heh. I mean pulling our line. Yeah that's it.

It does look like a plug but its not. What it is is a pink bunny leach with a bunch of cerise flashiboo in it.

I was wondering when someone was gonna ask me that.

I forgot to say nice fish Rich. Or is it nice boot. heh heh. Hell, their all nice when you catch big un's like that.
