how does the temperature of the water effect the fishing? I know water color & levels can determine a good or bad day on the river but,
it seems like i have better luck when the thermo starts dropping . do the fish get lazy or somthing . probably a stupid question but, can anyone explain? thx

In general, fish's metabolism goes up and down with water temperature. Colder water = lazier fish.

If the water is too warm, it loses oxygen, and fish get lethargic. I think that salmonand steelhead fishing gets worse if the water is over 60 degrees. 65 is really bad. 48 to 55 degrees is optimal.
