I have a friend who used to work for puget sound herring until recently and when they shock herring there is a 15-1 salmon kill. with no effort what so ever to spend time getting out baby salmon. sometime the holding pens were so full of baby salmon he would just dump the whole net out of disgust. not uncommon to have a few buckets of baby resident salmon after shocking some orders for the charter boats.
