I'm confused regarding how high upriver it is legal to fish. The reg's say up to the hatchery, but not on the reservation. According to my map, the hatchery is above the reservation border by several miles. Anybody know how high up the Klickatat it's legal to fish?

the boundry is to te fisher hill bridge.

Not sure how much reservation but it is not much.

it's Klickitat.......... fisher hill bridge is only a couple miles up from the mouth, in the gorge.
Maybe the boundry for april springer fishing?

For the rest of the season you can't fish upstream of the hatchery, which maybe on the
Yakima Indian Res..... as my Gazetteer shows.

Good and bad news. Good news: the river is fishable on both sides way above the hatchery. The reservation boundaries are well marked or gated. The boundary is at least 5 miles upstream of the hatchery although most of this area is in a unfishable canyon. Anything from the hatchery (there is a small local closure) down is OK and this gives you about 3- miles of water.
Bad news: steelhead fishing sucks so far this year. I have friends that have fished it for steelhead for 2 months with zero fish. Bait fishers are doing OK on salmon.
