Awhile ago I started a thread on superstitions and some neat things where posted,, one being the banana theory, I to follow this rule and even have no banana decals on the side of my boat.... This morning I took my uncle and cousin out for some silvers....we banged three fish within an hour and half not bad ... then my plug comes to the surface, no big deal might just have a chunk of salad on it,,, nope ,,, no way,,,, I HAD HOOKED A BANANA PEAL!!!!!!!! not a fish the rest of the morning,,,,what are the chances??????I took a picture of it and will post it when i figure that out.

You probably should have tossed the rod over as soon as you saw the peel...it's bad juju doesn't kick in until you actually bring it in the boat.

Even if it's a really nice rod and reel, it's not worth a darn if it will never, ever, hook a fish again!!

I have never taken a banana fishing...and am not really a subscriber to that particular superstition...but from what I have read on that thread and others like it....that is some bad frickin juju. I would lose the rod, the plug...and if you were in your boat, would check on the price of getting a classified add to sell it.

FS a buddy of mine and i went down to BC one night and when we were in the parking lot FS slipped 2 bananna peels in the back of my truck... needless to say they were both hooking the shiznit out of the feesh but not me i couldnt buy a bite to save my life... 2 bananna peels !!! thats double bad mojo...
