Anyone heard or seen any reports of what the wdfw is planting in our streams? Last year we didn't see the reports until March.

Speaking via the montesano office, I have *****ed about this for years with recent years being the worst. The best answer I received was "we're sympathetic but we really don't have a good answer other than it might be due to budget cuts". Take that for what it's worth.

I remember for alot of years they were posted by early november so guys could plan acordingly. What I can't figure out (nor could they) is the numbers we need are on a computer somewhere and have been there for 2 years. How hard is it to print the numbers in a timely fashion?

Pretty sad.

Well I agree. I think they do do it on purpose. I'm going to get to the bottom of it and see what the hell is happening. It's almost like they want to see what returns before they say what they planted.

Asking that I keep him anonymous, I have a friend who is "in the know" regarding this matter. He says there really is not a good excuse and that there IS alot of information that is withheld from the printed statistics. You'd be amazed at how they actually come up with some of there numbers!
