No need to goto Hoodsport for the Chums you can catch em on Hwy 101.
On the news they just showed Chums swiming across the street near Shelton. Doesn't this happen evry year.

yep! every year. just think, how much gear you could save by drifting on the pavement . the locals just let them swin right to the smokehouse i bet.

It cracks me up!

Every November the Skokomish floods, and flows over the bridge at 101. Then the chums, every year, swim around the bridge and over the road rather than fight the current under the bridge. Then they put it on the news, and say how incredible it is.

When I lived in Santa Barbara for a few years after college, I even saw it on the news every fall down there.

Quite a big surprise that it's happening again. Stay tuned next November for exactly the same thing again!!
