Amazingly, with all the rain we have had the Green River is still bone dry. Every other river in W. Wa is over flowing it's banks. What is going on? Did Mother Nature forget about the Green? beathead

Easy-
Being that the Green is dam controlled...I am more then postive the City of Seattle or King Co Metro (whoever it is that runs Howard Hanson) is just letting the resivior fill up...once they reach the water level that they desire, the river will begin to experience a more natural flow based upon the current percipitation.

EL, I just got back from a night at Salish lodge (Snoqualmie Falls) Monday at noon when we checked out I was amazed how little water was coming over the falls, 24 hours later the Sno. is under flood warning, be careful what you wish for. wink

Its not? I came from there last night and it was still low. According to UGS its still running well below normal. I wish it would rise a bit so the chums would start making it up twards the hatchery.

I take that back! I went down again tonight, and found the river to be near a foot higher. So much for low water conditions. Now I just wish I knew where to fish for steelhead. frown frown

Yeah, the dang Cow has been at 3000 all week - big holes in the water behind the dams are sucking it all up frown . I need 6K before it gets good where I want to fish, or even to get my boat there and back. Oh well, maybe by Thanksgiving... <img border="0" alt="[eat]" title="" src="graemlins/eat.gif" />
