I recently read the story behind this, seems the guy had traffic backing up behind him so he pulled of on a wide spot but couldn't stop on the loose gravel and slid over the edge. He spent a couple hours stuck in the cab but was ok (all things considered). Once back on the road he was able to drive away.

By the looks of that drop he is lucky the boat/trailer/hitch held him.

It would have really sucked if he went over and the boat came down on top of him!

That seems like a pretty extreme angle, could it be that the truck is just being held by the safety chains?

I've got a good hitch but a light boat - probably wouldn't hold me But then, it doesn't slow me down so I never delay traffic and have to pull over And haven't I seen that big boat and little truck before at Pt. Defiance, pulling that dinky rig into the drink as the truck slid down the ramp on the slippery algae at low tide?
