Are Loomis still making their 12 footers?

They have a 11'-6 noodle rod

According to the Loomis rep I know, they no longer make that rod, quit last year. Just not enough demand. Which is too bad, I have one and I love it. But I was looking at the Lami 11' 10-20 today, I think I like that rod. I might give it a try this winter. A bit heavy but then I didn't have a real on it to give it a balance. Should be a kickin' late winter nate rod. Not to mention a good salmon rod. I HopeLlami make a longer rod soon. 12-13' mod action 8-17 or 10-20.

Loomis has a new 12'3" float rod coming out soon, I have a demo model that I've been fishing the last 6 weeks and I love it! It's a spinning rod.

Well now that you mentioned it, it is my understanding that they will have 4 new float rods BUT they are all spiners, so us casting guys are still stuck. I guess I might have to get that new reel sooner rather than later.

I was going to get a 12 footer blank and build it up this summer. But thanks guys, I'll wait a while longer for them to make another long stick.

Actually I've seen 5 new float rods from Loomis and I've had a chance to fish 3 of them. The lengths are 10 1/2, 11, 11'4", 12'3" and a 13'4".

What is the action for these new rods?
You think they'll be OK for drifting?

The production models aren't out yet and now they don't expect them until Jan., and usually they come out before they hit the website. They range from light action, the 11 footer is 4-8 lbs line to med/heavy, the 12'3" is rated 8-15lbs line (my favorite). They all have regular spinning handles except the 13'4" which has the SK handle (short butt and long foregrip).
