....and all of America was glued to their TV's watching 7-5 Washington take on a 6-6 Purdue sqad in El Paso. YEAH RIGHT!!!
I'll be thinking of you whiny pups when I'm sitting in Pasedena...on second thought I really don't give a [Bleeeeep!] about another mediocre UW season. Ours was great and I'm content with that.

I am not a coug fan but will certainly enjoy watching them in the Rose Bowl.
Every team and player I have coached has memorized this saying: Jason Gesser lived it out and I am impressed.
Winners are:
To busy to be sad.
Too positive to be doubtful.
Too optimistic to be fearful.
and
Too determined to be defeated.
Jason...way to go!

"After Wazzu students threw bottles of water and alcohol, UW running Rich Alexis charged the student section in anger but was stopped for no gain!"

Listen to them squawk. Hey Cougs.....you seem to forget that UW fans actually remember WINNING a Rose Bowl. Is there anyone alive who has seen the Cougs win one?
You can tell they don't do this very often......they still haven't figured out that you go to Pasadena to WIN the bowl game, not just get drunk and stroke yourselves about being there.
Maybe once WSU goes to 10 bowl games EVER, they'll finally figure it out. What am I saying? They're Cougs........so I guess the Sooners can start the celebration now, huh?

Do you really think that a class act like the "Weasel", would jump ship and head for UCLA? Has he done anything like that before? Could past history be repeated? Do the powers that be at UCLA even want "Slick Rick" with his track record? So many questions and too few answers.
The nice thing about being a Coug Fan is that you get to root for two teams. The Cougs and anybody playing the Huskies. Go Purdue! GO COUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!

DP, Yeah, you'd BETTER root for somebody else to beat the Dawgs........we've seen how the Cougs do when they try themselves.

The Cougs are going to Loose the Rosebowl and USC, definateley the hottest team right now in the pack 10 will win the Orange bowl and finish higher than the Cougs. You Dumbass Cougs can keep playing with yourselves because Like Dan said there isn't a person alive who was around the last time the Cougs won a Rosebowl. It was just 3 years ago when the Dawgs won last. But then again when you are use to Winning you know how to handle yourself. When you are a born loser like the Cougs then it is like total chaos because none of them have been there before!!!! Peace Superfly

The only way OU can lose is if they don't want to get any of that Coug stench on them. Let's face it....would you want to touch something that unlucky?

Put up a pic of Gesser after beating the Dawgs. Oh................that's right. Gess-who never beat the Huskies!?
I'm living in the now. Right now, I can remember a Rose Bowl win. Right now, I can remember a 5-win streak against the Cougs. Right now, I'm spending the $200 I took of goofy Coug fans who think they can win an AC. Right now, I'm TRYING to remeber the Cougs' last RB win..................but I can't.

I will give Gesser his Props,he is the heart and soul of the cougs. You can blame the Apple cup on Price and the defense.10 pt lead with 4 minutes to go.....oooppps Coug it...again but then they were beat by a better Team When you have a quality head coach other programs are gonna want them,it comes with the territory. UCLA is step down Mike price on the other hand could always coach at Idaho....it would be a step up and when he plays wassu again ,He could be the Home team. I'm so glad we only have to deal with this every 5 or 6 years(Cougs winning anything) .......Os

Quality head coach? Just ask the NCAA, UCLA doesn't want him. He will have to be content with the USCS (University of Southern California at Seattle) any truth to the rumor that they plan to change the mascot to the weasels?

Oh, UCLA wants him.............they just can't afford him. See, they're in the same boat as WSU......they can't make any money with football. In Westwood, it's because there's too much other stuff going on to sell out Bruin games. In Pullman, it's because their pisant stadium only holds 35,000 and even then it's not often sold out until the bandwaggoners come out of the woodwork every 5 or 6 years.
Ever wonder why Mike Price's name never gets mentioned when there are coaching vacancies?

The UW gave Rick a 1.5 million dollar loan - one he doesn't have to pay back if he sticks around for the end of his contract. Add to that the standard $600,000 yearly salary, and any team would have to shell out $2.1 million now just to negotiate with him. Top that off with a nice raise/bonus of something close to 2 million a year, and, well....nowayinhell are any teams seriously thinking of Rick, especially UCLA. Rick is stickin' around at the UW for a while. Oh sure, he's got some recruiting "issues", but hey, he's a lawyer. What can you honestly expect from a lawyer? It's in their nature to bend the rules a bit! Just wish he would stop getting caught As for Gesser, he's a darn good QB. Expect to see him playing on Sundays in the near future. Too bad (not really) he never beat the Dawgs or won a Rose Bowl. Oh well, does that all really matter after you've won a SuperDuper Bowl?
