that was fishing related (be it a trip, gear, boat, whatever), what would it be??

Mine? I've got loads of gear & boats .. the only type I don't have would be ocean going boat for AK, but Fishgal's family has one, so I'm covered there smile

So, I'll ask for a trip to one of a couple of locales that I've always to fish:

1) Kamchatka <img border="0" alt="[santa]" title="" src="graemlins/santa.gif" />
2) Sowwhere warm with lots of big tarpon <img border="0" alt="[santa]" title="" src="graemlins/santa.gif" />
3) Great White fishing off of Australia ... I guess you can't do it off the GBR anymore, but there's still gotta be a spot smile <img border="0" alt="[santa]" title="" src="graemlins/santa.gif" />

I walk into the hole at dark xmas morning, its very cold. As it gets lighter I realize I'm not alone. As it gets light I hook a fish....while fighting the fish I notice that my company is Halle Berry wearing nothing but rolled down waders...did I mention how cold it was?

Never would I respond faster or more affirmatively to the question 'Do you need help landing that fish?'

That's fishing related....right?

Merry Christmas <img border="0" alt="[santa]" title="" src="graemlins/santa.gif" /> indeed.

wink

Let's see here...

I'd have to say Kamchatka would be at the top of my list!!
Next would be chasing Rooster fish and poons down in the Keys, Belize, or Costa Rica.

Last but not least, an all expenses paid fishing trip with Jimmy Houston, just to see how many times I can accidentally bump him overboard...OOOOOOOOOOOH SON! laugh wink

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!! <img border="0" alt="[santa]" title="" src="graemlins/santa.gif" />

DR, the way to fix that Merc is by replacing it with a Yami - that's what you need for Xmas beathead

The only reason I'm staying with Smokercraft is that I at least get 100% trade-in on the upgrade thumbs

I would wish for fishing and ecosystems like we had in the 30s. That and for the market to go back to year 2000 levels, that would help.

Dear Santa,
I would like to catch the new world or state record for steelhead or salmon. Steelhead is 42 pounds for world & mid 30's for state. Or that silver on the Lewis reported to be 30-40 pounds. It'd be like the guy who gets a hole in one where he has to buy the house a round of drinks laugh

-2003 Suburban
-1/10th of the stuff in Bob's garage (will easily outfit my new boat!) wink
-10 trip punch card from Piscatorial Pursuits! wink

As for a trip, I'd still like to go to Mongolia and fish for taimen.

I'm not asking for much. Just the winning powerball ticket and the rest takes care of itself. I'd even buy Downriggin a new yami, merc problems are never taken care of. I might try and ride along with Bardo to Rangiputa, never heard of it but it sounds cool. As long as he gets a bigger tank on his whirlybird. wink

I would kill to get some hooks and corkies, so I can go fishing. My mom said I might get some line for my next birthday, although it would be nice to have a reel to put it on. I'm set with a bamboo rod I put together with some electrical tape and some stainless steel wires. It's been a long wait, but I definitely can see the light at the end of the tunnel. So I should be able to go fishing with a rod and reel by next Christmas!

Unbelievable! I just opened my Christmas present and guess what? I got a fishing reel--a Zebco 940XL. It's a used one, but now I have a reel to go with my rod. As soon as I get some line, my fishing career will officially begin. Thanks a million, Santa! hello <img border="0" alt="[santa]" title="" src="graemlins/santa.gif" />
