It is believed by some that the earth was once enveloped in layer of very thick clouds or water. This would have shielded people from solar radiation much better then our ozone layer does today. Were many species made extinct because a giant astroid hit the planet? It is possible that the astroid is what destroyed the original atmospere. There are around 80,000 people on the no-fly list now and the number is going up. Many on the list are people who are Bush critics. With the mindset of the Bushies, critics are enemies of the state.

I was arrested at the airport once for parking too long in the passenger drop off. 4 police officers showed up with guns drawn. The whole cops scene, stick your hands out the window walk backwards etc. thrown to the ground handcuffed etc. hualed off to the pokey. After 30 minutes it became clear why. Someone with my same name and description automobile etc killed a cop in Kansas City . the only difference was he was black and I am white. Almost everything else matched. I was released with apologies. [Bleeeeep!] happens.

Why on earth would they tell you why they have you on the list? Let's say you make a call to a terror suspect. Perhaps you don't even know he's a terror suspect - but he's on the list of known terrorists. Maybe he's a friend or co-worker. Or, maybe you are conspiring with him in some way... If the gov't told you that you were on the list because you were talking to your friend Mohammad who is being watched as a known terrorists, then you told this to Mohammad - do you think Mohammad might decide it's time to change cell phone numbers and perhaps go into hiding for a little bit? Maybe they are close to busting him on a major terror plot to bomb the super bowl or something...

If it turns out that people ARE on the list just for disagreeing with certain policies - then I think it will be a disgrace on this admin and there should be some kind of fitting prosecution.
