The part I found funny was the dude had instant medical attention because Cheny's health is so poor an entire medical team follows him wherever he goes.

I have a friend who accidently shot and killed his father on a hunting trip. That was a long time ago and I am sure that he has never gotten over it.

The story I read was spinning it that it was the victim's fault. He was careless for being back behind Cheney. Since when is being 30 yards behind the gunner careless?

they tied to hide the story and it didnt make the news until more than 24 hours later and now they are trying to say that it was the other mans fault for not declaring that he was behind cheney when they knew that the man who got shot was behind them to find a bird....

ive never been bird hunting when i didnt know where my partner was and waited for him to get back in line for the flush...what an absolute DICK for spinning the story into it being his partners fault

I guess Cheney should have gotten hunting lessons from John Kerry. After all the fun people made of his skills, at least he never shot anyone.

It shows that spinning the story is so ingrained with them that they do it as a matter of course.

I've hunted upland birds all my life. Any bird hunter knows that one person is responsible if a fellow hunter or ,worse, a dog is shot....the guy behind the gun.

now its coming out that cheney will be re-paying texas for the stamp he didnt have on his hunting license.........the state will only issuing a warning to him

I heard it wasn't just one lawyer but that they flushed a covey of lawyers.
I wonder how many others in Texas would get off with a warning?

Although Dick Cheney is near the top of my least liked list, and I am enjoying all the jokes at his expense, it does not look like he got special treatment with the warning. Evidently (and this is from the "liberal" media, so who knows?) this is a new stamp introduced 5 months ago and all that did not have it get a warning and a ticket to pay the $7 fee.

The spin meisters continue to spin that the victim was at fault, not Cheney. The ranch owner, a registered lobbiest and the victim, a prominent Republic fund raiser, are both on board. They all agree the victim was at fault because he was 30 yards behind Cheney without keeping Cheney informed of his location. Maybe he should have gone and hid behind the car!
