Lupo did you ever break open some of those clams. depending on where you were many could contain crystal. I will post some pics of my crytal clams later.

i never have...i would love to see some pics though.... i think when we were kids we just said "oh cool a clam way up here in the woods" then we would just chuck em at eachother.

now that i have a much better appreciation of them i might have to go back to the ravine in bellevue and look around at some and see

If they are in grey siltstone you may get lucky but the ones I find are about 250 miles from Bellevue. In a different formation. ya never know with fossil colecting though, you could always find something new and undiscovered.

When Chuckanut Drive was closed a few years ago because of slides, we were able to find leave fossils but nothing as nice as those, micro. My Granddaughter was quite thrilled though.
