come on in to the shop, and work with me a day. I will pay you a fair wage and show you. if the work is done RIGHT it takes time. it will all show in a year if time was taken or not.

I am in a competitive market, and I like it...I make good money at the rates others stuggle with, I also have a reputation for doing quality work faster than a lot of them can do sloppy work, so sometimes I'll get a job where I'm not the low bidder, or where there is no bidding........

If some nice guy wants to hack a few trees down in his spare time, more power to him, if you can find a herd of them and make it your business to run me out of town..........well, I'll have to see that.

I always have this mental image of John Belushi's incoherent rants on the news skit on the old SNL when reading Aix's emotional based thinking posts. Belushi would rant, foam at the mouth and end up throwing himself on the floor.

YOU HAVE To be a legit business. That’s what this is about. Get a license and pay over head and he wont be screwing the industry, his prices would be the same shaving 25 or trading fair market value is all good. But to go out and blaintantly screw over the industry is BS. He is also breaking the LAW. YES if you practice taxidermy even for your self in WA state you must have a license and not just a business license.

Since we're so far off topic now, can I ask you if you think Walmart is on the right track by underselling their competition with cheaply made poor quality goods and eliminating their competition for control of market share? Walmart probably has all the legally required licenses.

I dont need to justify anything to you. But truth be told, I never have PM'd anyone on GF about soliciting to do mounts for them; With the exception of Chad. And like I said before, It was done for free as a nice gesture to a young guy, who's a good kid. Some people have PM'd me asking If I would do something for them, and a couple of times I actually referred them to you. Who have I dont work for besides him??? No one I can think of. SO once again you are barking up the wrong tree

I mount birds as a hobby. So one could summize that a guy who does it professionally should produce a better product. I let my work speak for itself. And there are No Worries here.

wow I tell ya all what I am two sheets too the wind right now but there is a big difference between Aix and olybirds. You see Aix is legal paying his dues and olybirds is not. Aix has anatomy down and been offered training from the best in the nation Olybirds does not. Aix is a single dad supporting his fammily with what he knows, Olybirds has rentals. olybirds will even mount you up A ILLEGAL BIRD LIKE AN OWL! Aix will not. Micro- Dont make accusations about me mounting Illegal Owls, when they are not true. You and your "Friend" Aix know nothing about me.You are making some very sad and FALSE accusations about me based off of a few tidbits of information you read from posts on the internet, or pictures of Birds that I have Mounted..

If you are refering to the OWL you have seen in my slide show, I mounted that as a student under the supervision of a taxidermist of 40 years experience. That bird was mounted with all the correct permits that protect that species, and it was brought into his shop to be mounted and displayed in a Non Profit Camp for UnderPrivileged kids. As a matter of fact a WDFW Enforcement Officer stopped into his shop while I was mounting the bird, looked at the permit for it and commended me on such a nice mount and was glad to see a bird that died of natural causes, and found by a child at the camp, was going to be able to be preserved and used as a teaching aid for many years in the future.
Ive been family friends with that Taxidermist for my entire life, and He gave me what is probrably a once in a lifetime opportunity to mount such a beautiful bird.

Thanks for letting us know about the antics of the truck dealer. Your experience shows the value of shopping around and how to negotiate for the best price.
I did a similar thing when I bought my boat. Made up a list of specs and faxed it to the dealers handling the type of boat I wanted, waited for the replies and then played them off against each other for the best cash price. I ended up with more boat than I'd originally wanted.

Stam, that Elk Looks great for an "amature". Not to mention it is an awesome Trophy. An elk like that would be a Once in a lifetime Trophy for me.

I'd rather not pay full price for a new rig either, but i have some "special circumstances" that make me very wary of buying used vehicles.

And that is another reason I think The dealer may have been trying to get over on me, but I will reserve judgement on that.
