With the exception of one line in the entire article, I didn't find anything particularly partisan or offensive about it...

Speeches that will come today, no doubt, will offer the partisan rhetoric that has no place in any conversation regarding Memorial Day...which is a commemoration of a massive, but limited, phenomena...the deaths of those who died while serving their country in the military.
