Spanaway man first arrest under state's new bestiality law

TACOMA, Wash. — A Spanaway man accused of having sex with a dog is apparently the first person in the Washington charged under a new bestiality law.

Pierce County prosecutors say 26-year-old Michael Patrick McPhail was caught by his wife on Wednesday night having intercourse on the back porch with their four-year-old female pit bull terrier.

The wife took photos with a cell phone and called police.

Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says "There's pretty clear proof what happened to this dog."

McPhail was arrested that night. He is held on $300,000 bail and is reportedly on suicide watch in the jail in Tacoma.

Charged with animal cruelty, he could be sentenced to a year in jail if convicted.

The bestiality law took effect in June. It was prompted by an incident in Enumclaw where a man died after having sex with a horse.

I can just imagine how this played out.

Wifes in bed: "Hunney do you hear Binky making funny noises out back, can you go check it out?" She gets up only to realize that her husand is not there.

Her curiosity gets the best of her, so she goes downstairs and to find out what is wrong with the dog, and finds her husband mounting Binky.

She reaches for the cell and she quietly thinks to herself..."Maybe I should have put out a lil more often?? "

A buddy of mine told me he was walking though the woods one time and came opon a young lady on all fours with her dog on her back. I asked him, "What did you do?"

He said, "I watched."

Believe me when I say there's nothing I'd rather forget.

Sure hope the lady is cute, if not, I'm sure the defense attorney will have a field day with this case.

All the defense attorney has to do is bring a big photo of the gal to the court room.

"This is a photo of my clients wife. Yeah, you'd have hit the dog, too. I rest my case."



PS. Also, wonder if makes a difference who owned the dog? Is it really "cheating" if the guy owned the dog?

PPS. Ok, as a defence attorney, I'd have a very hard time keeping a straight face asking the wife on the stand:

"So, who came first in this relationship, you or the dog"?



PPS. Can you imagine what that poor SOB judge will say when he draws that case?
