Nope, nobody is fishing at Reiter. It's closed. Seriously. Look down below for the thread on closed rivers.

I'm confused. This guy says he want to fish on Sunday -- I'm assuming tomorrow, which is the 5th. The closure begins on the 6th, right? Or have they already shut it down?

Good eyes HSL. I do seem to remember a recent post about a guy who got run off early though.

Oh well guess it's for the best.
Not beyond the authorities to make arbitrary decisions. Might check to be sure.

Gad, seeing the location name brought back very old memories. Left Washington for a position in Calif. in 1984, but would work this section of water over with a Spey Rod before anyone even knew what the heck they were.

First place I ever got close to getting 'spooled' on a fly rod.

I was there between 7:30 to 1pm. Fished from the creek mouth and down through the tailout....didn't touch anything. Fairly crowded, then thinned out fast. It was just like everywhere else....slow..... mostly dark Summer runs (5or6) and only two "bright" fish (not exactly chromers).... those that were holding down stream waiting for rain. Tomorrow? Who knows. I'm not optimistic.

The signs at Reiter read indicate it closed 1/2/03.
