Hey fishkiller i actually live right in here in rockport and would love to show you the river from the driftboat if you got a seat open on sat. otherwise the best way to fish would be from marblemount to howard miller if you are plug pulling but if you are mostly gonna be free drifting the do the marblemount to fabers.
see yah later

Marblemount to Rockport would be a good idea. Leave your shuttle rig at the park in Rockport (either side of the river here actually) and launch at Marblemount, the launch is just on the other side of the bridge. The mouth of the Cascade is just a couple of hundred yards down river from the launch. This is all pretty easy drifting, you'd have to be real stupid to get in trouble. Plug the obvious water for steelies and when you get bored toss mid-range diving rainbow Rapalas at the shallow seams or behind any wood/rocks for the dollies. If you try to stretch this run all the way down to Fabers you better keep moving this time of year or it will "0 dark 30" before you want it to be.

please remember, one of the reasons we have viable numbers of chars in the Skagit is that most regulars C&R these beautful and willing dollies, good luck on your drift,be careful and watch out for low flyin eagles

Fishkiller#2: thanks for the note,no problems here,it just breaks my heart to see these much maligned fish getting killed simply to be someone's trophy and rot in the freezer, when they can be caught and released multiple times, quite frankly if it was'nt for the dollies around here things would be less than active, good fishing to you,if you need a Skagit update feel free to ask,I'm on the river most of the time
