Well after quite a bit of time on the water I finally found a fish yesterday. Great fighter, chrome bright and as I was fighting it I was thinking how great it was going to taste. Well no such luck on bringing home some meat as it turned out to be a beautiful native winter run. About a ten pound hen very fresh from the ocean. I've got my fingers crossed that the natives come back much better than the hatchery run. I don't even want to say how many trips I've been on verses how many fish I've caught when it comes to the brats. Anyway found it interesting I found a native this early in the season. Normally I don't start getting natives till February. Sorry no photo as I fished by myself yesterday.

Thats good fishbreath. Im headed up there soon. Hopefully the nates will show in force and make up for the very poor hatchery runs.

Glad you got one.

With the poor hatchery runs this year I believe people will be pounding the water for the nates more this year then ever.

Remember to release them with care.

Everyone that swims away can be caught again by me. laugh
