Went out to the Snoqualmie today. Fished hard, and talked to five other boats. Nothing, absolutely nothing. Water was in great shape, no wind, good temp, good bait, nobody in the spots I wanted to fish, no possible excuses, but no, I mean no, fish.

It's realy not shaping up to be a good year, boys and girls. This makes about 10 trips now for me with no winter fish. That is NOT good.

Wednesday, I found the same thing on the Snoqualmie. The water and the wind conditions were ideal. There was only one boat on the river between the Raging ramp and Richter's. There were very few fishermen bankin' it. The one fisherman I talked to said he had taken a couple fish the first week of the season, but had caught nothing since. He said he had only missed about five days fishing since the winter opener. Last STS issue had an article that said you should drive until you locate fish. I'm still driving, but next week I'm gonna work on putting, and my lob wedge!

I hear ya. I've hit the NF Stilly, Skagit, Cascade, Skykomish, and Sauk this winter and I'm still fishless. The fishing isn't just slow, it's BAD. After last summer I was expecting a banner year. What a disappointment. The only good thing is that a lot of people have given up and the rivers aren't very crowded.

I'm with you, Cedar. My sand wedge is becoming my best friend. The lob wedge and I are still just dating.

I fished the Snohomish today. II caught 3 small rainbow/steelhead smolts and a whitefish. I spoke with 1 gentlemen that caught 1 hen and 1 dollie last week. He was skunked today.

did fish on the snoqualmie fri. and did see a nice buck get caught, however there seem to be a problem. A gammie came to check everyone and I made a comment to him "that's a nice fish the other guy had gotten" and he replied "that its the only fish he'd seen this week." So he went to go check the guy out and as we went to get out of our gear, we saw the officer point to the adipose fin and made a loud remark "DON'T YOU HAVE THE REGULATION PAMPLET BOOK WITH YOU!" Guess I don't have to finish the rest cause everyone knows the out come to this story.....

Fished yesterday and today on my favorite river with barely any pressure all day on both days. Very good both days, went there today and drove to the upper section, nobody, decided to check the lower then make up my mind where to fish, couldnt believe it, not one person. Decided to fish my favorite hole and first cast with a spoon and BAMM hooked into a real fighter, ended up breaking my pole but did bring her to shore, a chrome bright 13lb. hatchery fish. Drove back up to the upper and second hole I came to got another one about 7-8lbs.another chrome hen hatchery fish. She to did anice job of breaking what was left of my rod after I jimmy rigged it to work again. Also got one yesterday on the same river same spot. So I guess its all a matter of being in the right place at the right time. But back to work tomorrow. Sorry to sound like the glory hound, Im not. I am just happy to be fishing no matter if I catch or dont catch, its all good. Very true about not many people, and that it has been a bit slower than usual just have to keep on keeping on.
