Is fishing on Nooch that bad or am I talking to the wrong people as they leave the boat launch? I have been out three days with two fish in the boat. I counted 32 vehicles with boat trailers on the cross over road. Some guys parked their rigs on the side of the road with part of their boat trailers on the lawns of home owners. Maybe they got permission, if not, it's a really poor idea.

You probably talked to the same people I did. Floated from bridge to bridge and heard of 3 caught from drift boats. Plenty of fishermen, no fish.

That will certainly have a HUGE impact on our rivers. Why don't they just close the rivers around here and call it good.

You can thank that great fish managing generouse Quinalt tribe that does such a great job on the Quinalt. They are the ones decimateing the Chehalis system.

Yeah, it's that bad. Floated the lower stretch on saturday. Went 0 for 1- prematurly released a large fish saw only one fish caught, a 4lb winter fish. It gets worse. We were really early so we decided to glow-ball at elks bar. Someone started throwing rocks toward us - big rocks from the pasture on the other side. I opted for the spotlight over the shotgun. This worked for about fifteen minutes and then it started again. Decided to leave before it got ugly. Awfully early for kids 4:45 am. Pretty tough to fish from that side. I'm at a loss

131 trailers ... ouch, sounds like the good ol' days on the Bogey Brat run!
I floated eight miles of river on Saturday ... saw two boats: the one I was working with and another that passed us about 3/4 of the way through the day :p

I just checked the web site wa.gov/wdfw/fish/tribal/. The indians ARE allowed to net 5 days a week until the end of March. They are allowed to net on the Chehalis just below the mouth of the Nooch. That is incredible, it is pure bull----!!!!
