There are two spots to put in up high one at the 7400 bridge and another on the gravel bar above schafer creek. There is one other spot about halfway from there to White bridge off the Donavan but the gate may be locked as I havn't seen anyone launching there this year.

FYI, The Donovan rd gate was closed to prevent people from using private property to launch boats, not to mention the litter that always seems to show up. I am sure it was the action of a few that ruined it for others. What new!!!!

No kidding, Local. Just like the dipsh1ts that park in the field below Carter creek (that field is PRIVATE PROPERTY, goddam it, and the guy lets you WALK across it so don't park in it!), the garbage-pigs are going to get ALL the property up there closed sooner or later. mad

Frigging slobs and their beer bottles, pop cans, dirty diapers and crap MUST BE STOPPED. We need to raid one of these parties up there and send some crackheads swimming before ALL the roads up there get ditched.

Scumbags...... shoot

Absolutely correct my friends. I was up there (Nooch)today and found no garbage -luckily! Maybe..... that's because I had to walk down a cliff to get to a good run to fish? Fished another river to the west -tons of garbage in the fishy-looking spots. I was very dissapointed to say the least. All I can say is, atleast they left a trash bag so I could pick it all up. I think it brought me good luck because I hooked up -on a fish that is....
Good Fishing, Darin

We floated from the 7400 road down last weekend with 26 other boats (and maybe 1 or 2 more), as we picked our rigs at end of day, we say pontoon boats coming down. Can anyone tell me where they might have launched (somewhere above the 7400 bridge) and how long a float it is?

Maybe somebody should tell those guys that fishing IS CLOSED above the 7400 bridge in the winter...

...or, maybe they already know...?

gP,
I just doubled checked the regs, the regs divides the river in half, mouth to 7400 rd, and 7400 rd upstream. 7400 rd Upstream is open
Dec 1-Mar 31 under selectiver gear rules. Am I reading the regs wrong? Is this a change from previous years?

Yes SD you read it right, and it is a change from last year...

I agree with Dan 100%. I'm sick of seeing all the trash. A few dip****s messing it up for everyone. Let's all keep cleaning the areas up, it just takes a second to stop and stuff that empty halfrack box in the back of the rig, or bend over and put that empty bait container in your backpack...

We also need to "educate" the jerks that we actually see leaving the litter....

It's been closed for years up there, but it's open under 'selective gear rules' this year. That's single, barbless hooks....no bait....no fishing from a floating device.......and the Gamies ARE keeping their eye on it.
