After fishing the East Fork of the Lewis for five years I had my first bad experience. I was north of daybreak park ( downriver ) parked at the county sheds from 5 to 6pm on Thursday. I had a wonderful time on the river, but much to my dismay I came back to my truck around 6 only to find glass everywhere inside my vehicle. Some low life broke my window, took a green carhart vest, a pair of jeans, and a black soft breifcase from work. For some reson they took books from work that I use to study for an apprenticeship.
Needless to say I was stunned!!!! There was such little value ( the vest was the most value) and the books which I really need for work had absolutely no monetary value.
Unfortunately I was the only rig parked there except a blue truck with canopy ( or possibly a blazer) with mag wheels. I saw the two guys on the way in ( they were heading out) ......Not to say that these guys are responsible, but I definitely took a mental note of them if needed in the future. If anyone saw any other vehicles parked in the lot, info would be much appreciated to save someone else this trouble.
I just got back from an hour trip to the junkyard to get a window ( there goes that salmon rod I wanted to build)
I guess the point of my story is that the Kalama isn't the only place SW WA rivers have low life sum suckers. Lock your valuables in the trunk, and keep anything interesting out of sight.....
If anyone happens to find a black bag with white binders along side the road ( I am sure the idiot will ditch them) around daybreak shoot me an email
