We are headed over from the East side this coming weekend to try some Steelhead fishing-which river would you fish....the Ho River or Kalama ? Why?
Not bringing the boat so we will be banking it and I understand the Kalama provides alot of areas to fish from the shore....does the Ho have area to be a "bankie"...and if it does where would you recommend us to go?

I don't fish the Hoh but I fish the Kalama religiously. You best bet is to first hope that this onslaught of rain leaves the river in half way decent shape. It's pouring cats and dogs as we chat. There is ton of bank access but finding the spot will take some work. There a re some big fish in the system and more and more will be natives. Hope this helps.

Didn't know the Hoh was East.....unless you're coming from Hawaii. J/K

Kalama is much easier to fish from the bank than the Hoh, and holes are much closer together. If you find fishable water at either, you can consider yourself lucky.
