has anyone out there ever purchased a vehicle on the ebay motors site?? I am toying with the thought of buying a new truck and was looking at what appeared to be some pretty good deals on some of the rigs there. Any one out there had any experiences?? moose

Badddawg - My brother in-law buys and sells about 30 cars a month on ebay. Most of the guys selling are dealers. Do your homework and take into account ~800.00 for shipping or fly and drive home. Unless you're looking for something specific, or find the "right" deal, you won't save any money over buying local.

I would suggest using Ebay Escrow. They hold the $ until you are satisfied that everything was as advertised then you release the money to the seller. You will need to have the seller agree to this BEFORE you bid.
It doesn't cost that much and has worked well in the past for me.
Information is on Ebay home. Good Luck.

baddawg-

I had a friend buy a truck from a guy in Houston and it was purely a lemon. Make sure you do your homework!
