I just replaced the maxima fiber glow on my plug reel because I noticed in some light conditions I could not see it that well. So I spooled up with the bright yellowish green Izorline. This stuff feels just as strong as the maxima and quite a bit cheaper to boot. My question is how many of you use this stuff and how have you liked it, strenth, stretch durability, and so on?
Thanks

i love izor line it is strong as anything and has less memory than maxima. i landed an 18# nate on 10# main and 8# leader sunday off the bank. as good as a testamonial as i can give. i do recomend a 4 to 6 ft leader of clear in low clear water tho. FISHON

Tried it for the first time last week, in 12 lb. Used it as a mainline on the curado with ultragreen leaders. (side drifting) I really liked the line its nice and slick with almost no memory, @ you can see it pretty well in most light. Didn't get anything too big, but the guide I was with fishes it all the time on big nates..... laugh

I use Izoreline for my mainline. Stonger with less diameter than maxima, but maxima for leaders cause it ties a better knot.

Izor is great line it cast great and has very little memory, the downfall to it is that you have to replace it about every other trip it's just not as tough as the maxima.

i used the line you are talking about 2 X, both times on poles supplied by a guide & both times the yellow line was used on the main line, 16# mainline (the yellowish line) w/ 12# (or 14#) clear izor for leader for springers in the cowlitz river and 10# (maybe 12#) mainline the yellowish line & 6# clear izor for leader for winter run steelies... had zero troubles on both occasions

PS: i use ande day in & day out, I just change the # test for type of fishing, 20# green main line w/16 # "tournament" or 15 # green leader for springers on the Columbia, 16# "tournament" or 15# green main & leader off bank for kings in the cowlitz, 10# green for steelhead in the cowlitz (bank or boat, jig & bobber or drifting eggs), & 8# green in the so-called zipper lip rivers, never had a problem = best bang for buck
PSS: learn the albright knot (go to this link)"http://www.marinews.com/fishing/Knots%20&%20Rigging/fk_albright.htm" & back (spool up first) braided dacron on your bait caster(s) then, tie about 150 yds of the ande with the Albright knot (it also works lines of same diameter), then when your ande gets worn, replace it, for lower tests, fill the spool full the first time with desired line, then replace 100 yds at a time as needed using the albright knot... this approach allows one
$ 5.39 spool of ande green to last weeks of daily fishing... no cheaper, safer way out.......

Anyone try Izor's flurocarobon line? Price is kind of steep.

Thanks for the replies fellas, used the izorline high vis with 5 feet of clear izor bloodknoted together and hooked a 12 pound nate on the sultan drift friday. The stuff is very tough and has execllent vis to boot. Picked up a 4000 yard spool at Teds so I will be using this stuff for a while. Damn fine line!!!
