This happened in Louisiana.

This is what you would call "fishing the structure".

I once lost a 20 ft tri hull off trailer 10 miles from the ramp. ten men lift and tugged while I cranked the wrench so as to not lose ground. It took 2o mintues under the watchfull eye's of the chp. not fun

Same thing happend to a guy I know on his way to sekiu. A couple tow trucks winched it back to the road and put it back on his trailer. Off he went.

About 20 years ago when we used to launch at the Edmonds sling I remember seeing a boat (no trailer) in the right hand lane about a mile from Edmonds. There was a guy sitting in the boat waving a flashlight at oncoming traffic. Never did figure that one out...

Last august there was a brand new, no numbers yet, 35 foot rigid hull inflatable with twin 200 mercs that had broken the bow tie and flipped over backwards on the shoulder of I 5, right near longview. I think a wind gust hit it as they came down the hill, and 'poink', flip was the result. Bad hair day for the driver, I'm sure.

Had a friend who launched his glass Lavro DB on I5 --- damn boat nearly passed him up -- glass is slippery on concrete......He cranked it back on, minus some gel coat, and off he went.
Too early in morn for other traffic problems..
How would you ever explain to insurance how your DB rear ended that Mercedes??????? rolleyes

Now that is one nice boat sittin' in them sticks! Must be crawdaddin'! Saw the same thing in Olympia about 8 years ago. A guy coming from Black Lake made the corner into town, the boat didn't. It ended up in the trees 30' from the road. Not sure how they got it back on. That convince me to keep the carpet bunks on my trailer and not go to rollers. I have also seen guys let their boat roll off the trailer but the not be far enough down the ramp and ground it right there in a foot of water.

Nice one!! I wonder what the repair bill is on something like that?

I remember being down at the Snake River one day with my family in the middle of summer (HOT!).
All of a sudden I hear this loud THUNK, followed immediately by grinding and then another THUNK! Turns out the people were drunk, had forgotten to tie down their 22' ski boat and dropped it on the pavement half-way up to the main road!! Ouch!
