If we click our heels three times, and say I wish for a Sockeye season, I wish for Sockeye a season.
It could happen again this year. you never know. If I'm right, this should be the year for them any ways. Last year was a fluke. I usually start checking counts around early June. By the middle of June you'll have an idea if there will be one. When I saw the counts last year in late June, I went and bought some gear just in case the counts got higher and what do you know it paid off.

Yep everything I have heard so far is not encouraging. They do not predict enough fish this year. Good news is the indians will be counting the fish coming thru the locks in hopes that their will be a season. The state has been wrong a few times that I can remember. I would be planning for pinks coming this year . You never know we may get lucky on the sockeye this year. My luck my fishing buddie hooked me up with his friend that lives on the lake and said we could use his dock. I could have avoided them dam lines.

I'm going to try fishing for them in the salt this year - picked up a few tricks in Canada last summer that sure worked in Alberni Inlet - let's see if these southerners will fall for them laugh

Hey Spawnout,
I've been thinking of doing the same, but am short on practical knowledge. I've done some research and have a few ideas, but if you care to share some tips I'm all ears.
James

BTW, did you get your new boat? If so how is it?

For a minute there, since the top four posts have the same icon of a fish, I thought you were talking to yourself laugh
