I know lots of you have different ways of altering you plugs out of the box. I put extra split rings on my kwiky's and put 2/0 Gamis on them. What do you do for your kwik's, flatfish, hot shots and tadpolly's ?

This season, for the first time, I've pulled the belly hook from my kwikfish.

I replace the hooks on kwiks with a swivel and a 3/0, 4/0, or 5/0 siwash, for k14's, 15's and 16's respectively.

On the few that I leave trebles in, I put another split rig on for the front hook.

Do any of you plug for steelies? I was wondering how you all change you plugs for those also. I know different types of plugs all work better with certain rigs but which plugs and what hook combo's?

On the tadpollys I take the front split ring and hook off. as well as just the back hook but leave the split ring on. Take the front split ring and put on the back, now you should have two back split rings. For the hokk I stick on a # 4 owner cutting point treble. For Hot shots take belly hoook off and add on a siwash to the back as well as crane swivel.
