A week from this Thursday, I have to drive down to Portland to pick up my brother for the weekend and was thinking about doing some fishing on the way down. Any info/advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

okay, coast clear.
seriously i can tell you this. They are still catchin a few natives at the kalama, Talked to a guy today who caught 2. Fish checker gal said to date she recorded 15 springers. I have been there the last 4 or 5 Tuesdays, and Today was the worst i've done, and the most fishermen i have seen. 14 or more boats, and at least 40 bankers. I have learned not to trust Prichards report. And i have learned to look at the washington weather information network for Longview, and see what the measurable precip is in the last 12 hours, if it is much, River will be High.
Don't know about the Cow, sept it looked high and muddy. thumbs

Hermie--
where are you from? I go to the Kalama regularly and also have found that n.w. angler inflates there reports to get people up there. Fishin for me has been slow but the river has been nice the last couple of days but that can change quickly.
