Notice the lack of springer?

Well, so did alot of other people on the CR today and yesterday.
Just back from a three hour drive from the BBQ and reporting that there were few fish caught down there this weekend. frown

A TON of pressure out there, from the people we spoke with a only heard of about a dozen fish caught. Rather depressing. So Kev, Ern, and FS75, you picked a good weekend to pass on a trip down. thumbs Must be alot of fish are moving up due to Bonneville counts. Will probably get hot right as DFW decides to close everything down.

Visibility was down to about 20 inches today on mainstem, was a little better yesterday. Lower Lewis a better bet since water was a much clearer green. Spawnout told me he hooked into one there but it un-buttoned. Most fish I heard of caught were on bait or a kwik.

Two banner weather days though. St. Helens is a nice area, plenty of good water to fish, Sand Island is a great place to camp, will definately head there later this summer.

Fished with ET down around the Kalama boat ramp. We observed 4 fish taken all keepers about 10 lbs and there was about 40 boats in our general area. Great weather conditions, fun day but no fish. At 1400 at the boat ramp the fish checker said he had checked just one fish so far that day but the fish was about 30 LBs. Most of the boats we talked to did not see any fish at all. This was stilll better than working, looking forward to June 01.
