Can the trans cable be spliced?

Can it be split(add a 2nd position, my case from compass table to stern)?

Any info would be appreciated!

Everything I have ever read or seen on transducer cable says do not cut of splice. If you want to use the same head unit on your helm and stern stations just buy a transducer cable extension. Run your cable from the transducer to one station, the extension from 1 station to the next station. Hook the head unit to the first station when you want to use that station, connect to the extention and hook up the the other station when you want.

DO NOT CUT & SPLICE.
Most companies offer second station kits for $20-$30.
