We like to say we are only an hour away in any direction from good fishing. Unfortunately all the local rivers and tribs are restricted because of the threatened status of many steelhead and cut throat.

You will learn the:
Salmon River – (Lincoln City)
Nestucca – just over the hill
Trask - just over the same hill
And the Willamette – few miles downstream

Ifish.net will be able to help more after you move

(oh and this is your state rep)

You'll likely find the best salmon/steelhead fishing on the coast. Consider the Deschutes in summer/fall. The Valley rivers can be good in winter/spring, but have been underwhelming this year. The Willamette has good bass fishing. Lots of small stocker trout lakes in the area.
