Can anybody give me some contacts in Canada for mercury outboards. I want to check on pricing.

I do not have any contacts but if I recall from previous threads, any warranty work will also need to be done in Canada if the motor was purchased from Canada, just FYI.

A friend of mine got a pretty good deal on a merc at stevens marine in Oregon. Said he saved lots of $$$ and no sales tax. And you can get it serviced in US. You dont have to drag it up to Canada.

B Gray, Check on the warranty thing unless things have changed warranty should not be a problem, if you remember back when hawley's boats was still around they purchased a bunch of 80 hp mercury's and put them on some of there boats, yes you guessed it they were from canada, i bought one of the campions they came on had it in a couple of times for warranty work, no problems, if its a 9.9 4 stroke your looking for give me a shout, have one with less than 20 hrs on it sitting in the garage excellant shape, Doug oh forgot to mention the warranty work was not done back at hawley's it was done at two seperate places

for very good pricing on merc's in b.c. you should phone Riverside Marine in North Vancouver. I was getting price quotes of outboards a couple of weeks ago and they had the best pricing by far. Phone # is 604-929-2845. Also, they have been very good to deal with when I needed parts or motors fixed.

With the falling value of the dolllar it may not be as good a deal as say a few months ago. But worth a look. I bought a Honda from Canada and saved 2 grand and my outboard mech. bro says he will honor the warranty through the dealer i purchased it from.
