I have been asked to take my sons scout group over to lake wenatchee and drag them around on the water toys. Anyone have info on lake Wenatchee boating/tubing in late July? Is the ramp decent, water levels ok, etc... Any help would be appreciated. what

The best word I know to describe it would be: COLD!

It's a beautiful lake and it has some nice facilities, but the water is damn cold, even in late July. Then again, when I was scouting age those kinds of things didn't seem to matter much. smile

What 4Salt said. Take lake Chelan and keep it in the shade so the sun can't warm the water much, that's Lake Wenatchee. Good thing they're young, not much to shrink up when they jump in the water. Crystal clear lake, you can see the bottom clearly at 15-20 feet deep which is real cool when the Sockeye are in. The ramp was fine last time I was there (a few years ago) and easy to launch and retrieve from. Overall, one of the nicest places in the State to camp.

I would have to agree that the lake is very cold. But while you're there, stop off for a morinig fish at Fish Lake. Just troll pop-gear, wedding ring or double wammy and a worm. These fish will not stay off the line. Good size too, my largest there was 22 in.

Jay

P.S. If you are camping at the lake, the bugs can be real bad sometimes.
