My brothers in town from the east coast and I need to put him over some fish. My Tiderunner can handle Westport if the fleet isn't running way the heck out......has anybody fished Westport in the past few days.......how is the fishing and where is the fleet running to these days.

Thanks in advance......I don't get to see my brother that often and I would really like to set him up if I can.

Here's a Westport report from this last Sat, Sun and Mon. Bottom fishing on Saturday up near Moclips.....long ride up but the boat limited. Five lingcod with the largest at 15lbs. The rest were all black rockcod. Salmon fishing on Sunday and Monday out past the bar and then south (look for all the other boats). The boat limited on both days. Largest Chinook as 28lbs.....derby winner for Saturday. Largest Coho was 8lbs. Lots of native Coho caught and released. Lots of hook ups. We fished 30' to 50' with mooched cut plug and whole (small) herring. Went out with Ocean Charters.......excellent skipper and deck hands on the Ms. Magoo. In fact, liked it so much, I'm heading out again on July 12th and 13th.

We got out today and did OK.

3 Kings and 2 Silver keepers for three of us.

Just couldn't get that last Silver.

Not alot of bites and the water was not bad.

Biggest King was around 22 pounds.
