Everyone talks about Neah Bay, what if you dont got the big boat or good weather to fish it? You got to go to Seiku man. We went ther last weekend. Saturday we caught 6 kings. But since they gotta be fin clipped fish we had to let go 4. 2 of the ones we let go were 18+. Sunday we caught a small slab-o-meat at 24 lbs. and released one that was 20 something and one that was 18 or better. had a helluva time. good weather and caught a few ling's and rockfish while we were waiting for the tide to change. Waiting for silver season though

Thanks for the insite Elkrun. I've only fished up your way a few times. One day out of Sekiu, one day out of Neah Bay.
Question: When we get into September (thats when I have a trip planned) can you expect the same numbers of silvers out of Neah Bay that you can out of Sekiu, and do you need to run very to get them?

Question: When we get into September (thats when I have a trip planned) can you expect the same numbers of silvers out of Neah Bay that you can out of Sekiu, and do you need to run very to get them? Silvers will be there and they'll be big. Should be plenty in the rips inside the strait right until it closes. Last year was different... they didn't come in until real late. You can have 100 fish days right outside the harbor at neah in the first rips you hit. I used to drive over and fish sekiu a lot when I lived in eastern washington. Then I met Topwater (from the board here) and he enlightened me on how much better neah is. He is the expert, and posts here from time to time. He also runs a fly fishing guide service out of Neah. I have personally sent a couple of people to fish with him and they had the best trip of their life. (shameless plug for him!) really though, both places have fish, I just like the thought of being at the end of the world!

We caught 20 or so silvers all about the same exact size 4-7 lbs. didnt catch any Humpy's but that doesnt say much cuz you kinda gotta change your gear and target pinks if you want to catch them ( sometimes) Ive never fished Neah bay for silvers but Seiku is super hot. not as hot as Neah Bay if what you say is true. But good enough fishin' for me. We had many triple rod takedowns, countless doubles and singles for a total of 120 or so fish caught and released in 2 and a half days. That a doesnt really sound super good until you throw in the fact that we got on the water at daylight and got off at 10:30- 11:00 with all of our limits.( there were only the three of us on my father in laws boat) but it sounds like I'm going to Neah Bay this year! Where exactly do you usaually fish? anywhere out there. How far is it from Tatoosh
