This is nice chrome 3 salt fish my wife hooked and landed on the cowlitz July 7th. She caught it between the cabin and mission.

We hit a pod of these babies, hooking (4) and getting two to the boat. Both fish caught and landed by the girls.

On a side note, not only can she cath fish, but she ran the boat from Mission up through and past Blue Creek three more corners. She really enjoys the run above Ethel bar.

Looks like you had no problem holding the boat out in the current, judging by the size of that anchor!

Catchin em is one thing, how did you get them to hold it? My wife usually does better than I do when I take her out. Even though I do everything but reel it in, she still busts my chops about it. But I'll be dammed if she'll hold one.

It was a close call for the weekend on the girls verses boys fishery. We landed 9, and the girls caught 5.

They do rub it in a bit, but the ribbing stops when I mention the bait, leaders, weights, and boat position.

I will be way ahead if I can teach her to boondog, though she is pretty shy when it comes to the kicker and backing downstream.
