Just wondering if the NF Lewis has picked up at all for summer steelhead. I wanted to float it this Saturday but don't want to waste my time if it's still slow. I'm also curious about the sled traffic with the river being at 1000 CFS. Any info would be appreciated.

Well it would be a waste of time, water is really low. There is 1 fish per like 20 anglers. The columbian said the fish are in there thick, but they have no idea. There are a good number of jacks in there, my cousin and I limit out on those using ultra light rods and light tackle thats lots of fun.

Fished the Golf Course last Sat morn. There were a good 8 - 10 boats working the area, with no fish that I saw caught. Guess we got there late (7:00) or something. Saw one group of 4 fresh steelhead in a riffle, and saw a couple of others with sores on their foreheads but they were all spooked from all the boat traffic.
