I am planning to hit hoodsport at first light, how many people are usually there? Will it be combat fishing?

If there's fish,
there will be tons of folks out there!
Look out for monster treble hooks,
and guys crossing your line, they'll reel in
your lure and cut it right off of your line!,
and if that doesn't pi$$ you off they'll pocket it right in front of you!!!If you have a boat,
you'll be much better off. I believe that if they stuck a fishcop out there, just for the snaggers, they could pay for the hatchery alone with the fines collected! evil
Just a thought.

Ken

Well I slept in too late, glad I put it off until during the week. I went to Kennedy creek last year and saw the same thing. It was nuts, people dragging the water for fish and then killing dark worthless chum just for the sake of killing. It sounds also like bluecreek.

I got caught by the warden yesterday and no I was not snagging as I was flyfishing. I had tyed the fly the night before and forgot to pinch the barb down. beathead He saw that and took me back to his truck. He only gave me a warning but then he asked about people snagging. I told hime about a couple buzz bomb tossers, which will only snagg fish on the shallow flats, and he said that he saw them too. I'm going to remenber to pinch all the barbs down from now on!

Wow, they actualy checked a fly fisher? The true fisherman? It is messed up when people us buzz bombs like that. Most wardens I have come in contact with have been cool, its the old fart volunteer retired ones that try and play a power trip. I got hasled about not having my sticker on my truck, and when I showed him it was on the bumper he got pissed. He then said that my license plate number must be written in ink on the sticker. I said the damn sticker is stuck on my truck,so wouldn't it be redundant to write in the number? He said he would only give me a warning. Warning for what? I just kept my mouth shut, sometimes its the best.

You didnt do anything wrong,in your eyes. And personally I think writing your plate #on your sticker is pretty lame. But you didnt have it displayed where your supposed to or put the # on it.Which ,from what I understand is how its supposed to be done.

Personally I think there are more important things fpr the people in enforcement to worry about. But rules are rules.
