Just got in caught 2 played 7 using fly rod
it would be a lot nicer if people would use a little courtesy when you hook up! eek
I was to totally amazed that one of the fish I caught was a 6# silver beathead but you cant tell ignorance to change it wont listen.
There are several schools in but latter in the evening so wait it out before you go
Usually when the boats start to leave you get most of the action.

Hope this helped and good fishing to all the beer aix.

Fished Saturday and caught one on a flyrod from shore north of town along the beach. There are thousands of them in right now and it should only get better. smile

fish junky,

I have plans to go out there this weekend. Seen or heard of any kings out there yet?

I fished HC for kings yesterday - didn't go near the humpy line as I get disgusted with all the snagging in my old age. There are no kings yet, which is kind of odd as they are no longer in the Straits and have to be somewhere unless none survived the kill and release season. By the way, fished the Sinclair bubble this morning, and there are no kings there yet either. B10 for me on Friday wink

I heard about some kings in the Skokomish. But the river is closed until August 1st. One guy caught a coho out there and someone said that a king was hooked at the hatchery the day before.

I stopped at Hoodsport on my way to Westport a few days ago and watched for a bit. It reminded me of a flock of birds following a bait ball on the surface. A school of humpies would come by and everybody would cast into it with everything they had folowing it along the shore until it dissapated.
